Wonka (2023)
Genre: Fantasy/Musical
Me rates it: 4.1/5
Again, I’m a sucker for musicals. This one didn’t quite speak to me how others did, but it was overall an entertaining piece.
It has a great amount of detail and depth to it, the props, animations and vibe fit well together and exceed expectations, especially for a piece that costed less than “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)” and “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)“. I personally don’t mind the cast, quite adore it even.
I LOVED how the piece pointed out the general lack of care for fine prints. When was the last time u pressed agree/allow on your phone? I know we aren’t lawyers, but please try to scan through the fine prints and if enough of us care, perhaps a new rule might limit big corporates from overwhelming users with their un-suspiciously lengthy terms and conditions.
As always, try lowering your expectations, and just enjoy the movie together or alone.
