Actually wouldn't have minded if this popped up as a 2 hour beer commercial. But I cant help but admire how the piece has been crafted. Let’s start with the plot, some brilliant work to incubate character and story development, it's great to see how characters would have different views for the war as they are and where first hand experiences would alter their stance.
When it comes to criticism something I might question would be the fact the writers are trying to get a few light jabs at people who swings their views depending on whoever they are talking to but the attempt falls short and the character seemed excessive and irrelevant.
Matt Cook might be my new favourite actor, his facial expressions are alien-like in a great way and really adds to the plot. are alien-like in a good way
As always, try lowering your expectations, and just enjoy the movie together or alone.
